the tune? thematic. climactic. seemingly overwhelming at certain moments. i guess it lives up to its name.
this remix is like reaching the tippy-top of whatever it is you’re climbing and realizing how high you are and trying to breathe while taking it all in. on the production tip, almost hauntingly screaming synths trip you up while the crisp background keeps it all together with syncopation.

Film perjuangan Indonesia sebagai penyambutan hari kemerdekaan Indonesia pada tanggal 17 Agustus 2009 akan hadir di layar bioskop indonesia. Sungguh film yang benar – benar tidak memakan biaya sedikit, karena melibatkan Crew perfilman internasional yang sudah berpengalaman. Film Merah Putih ini memiliki nuansa yang berbeda dengan yang film lain dan yang terpenting menunjukkan semangat perjuangan Indonesia dalam mempertahankan kemerdekaan Indonesia.
Film ini dimulai dengan perjuangan indonesia untuk kemerdekaan di tahun 1947. Saat itu aksi Agresi Militer Belanda diluncurkan dengan menyerang para pejuang Indonesia di propinsi Jawa Tengah. Agresi itu dipimpin oleh Van Mook yang berkebangsaan Belanda menyerang membabi buta disegala penjuru. Sungguh ironik, kelompok pejuang Indonesia masih terlibat konflik pribadi. Dan moment tersebut di manfaatkan oleh Belanda sebagai misi pemecahan kekuatan para pejuang Indonesia.
Karena terdesak oleh gempuran yang bertubi – tubi, akhirnya para pejuang kemerdekaan bersatu untuk melawan dan berjuang hingga titik darah penghabisan. Teknik lama dengan bergerilya kembali di galakkan. Mereka berikrar untuk menunjukkan sebagai anak Bangsa Indonesia yang sesungguhnya dengan melepaskan rasa egoisme mengenai perbedaan. Seperti yang kita ketahui, negara indonesia tercinta terdiri berbagai kelas sosial, perbedaan suku, daerah, agama dan karakteristik. Akhirnya mereka bersatu karena perbedaan itu dan akhirnya menghasilkan sesuatu apa yang menjadi harapan, yakni mempertahankan Kemerdekaan Indonesia.
Tidak tanggung – tanggung, film ini melibatkan para Crew Film Internasional yang sudah mempunyai nama besar di dunia perfilman internasional Hollywood. Seperti Inggris Adam Howarth ( Film Saving Private Ryan, Film Blackhawk Down ) yang menangani bagian Special Effects. Un film care cel puţin mie îmi confirmă, că cea mai potrivită şi matură vârstă pentru o căsnicie care să funcţioneze, este vârsta a 3-a.
Jake (Alec Baldwin) este la a 2-a căsnicie şi divorţat de Jane (Meryl Streep) de 10 ani, cu care are împreună (nici nu mai ştiu, parcă) 3 copii, undeva la 27 de ani.

Blair cosby was an alias created by Camu Tao. he was said to be a mix between Blair Underwood and Bill Cosby. Basically, Camu was a very funny dude. He would hole up in his crib for a night or two and make complete albums as this character. All the songs would be freestyles with hooks. while this sounds like a recipe for disaster , in the hands of Camu, it was some truly off the wall shit.
I was given my first taste of these about 4/5 years ago. at first i just thought they were funny and moved on but , within a month of having these songs, i found myself constantly playing them over and over again. they were funny (and actually had some dope beats as well) but more than anything, they were a perfect example of what made Camu the kinda guy he was. Anyone who knew him , knew this side of him and loved him for it.

OK, so the page tree is useful in my admin area, but HOW do I display the tree on my site, for easier page navigation?
There are two ways. Simplest is to use the sidebar widget, if your template is widgetized. Simply drag the “Page tree” widget to where you want it – set its name and whether you want to display the tree collapsed or expanded by default, and if you want to show or hide the expand/collapse controls.
Or you can use the pagetree_public function which lets you use the tree anywhere on your site:
Defaults are “false” for all options, which gives you a “naked”, complete collapsed page tree.
So, just use pagetree_public() for a simple, naked tree.
What does this plugin actually do?
This plugin simply provides an easier way for administrators/authors to navigate a large collection of pages in your WordPress installation. It adds a new submenu to your “pages” navigation menu which takes you to a list of all your published pages in a collapse/expand tree.
I can’t see my unpublished/hidden pages!
Well, yes and no. The sidebar widget and template function only displays published pages, since it is meant for use on your public site. The admin tree displays ALL pages.
Poor, old Canada doesn’t really have a wonderful reputation for putting out great musicians, or even competent ones for that matter. Whether it be Alanis Morissette , Sum 41, Simple Plan, Justin Bieber, or the be-all, end-all of lame bands, Nickelback, Canada’s repertoire of “successful” artists is pretty poor.
So, to counteract this, I have assembled a list of ten Canadian musical artists that are actually pretty damn good. Of course, this is all subjective – the list is based on my personal tastes and critical acclaim – and is definitely not all encompassing, so feel free to comment, rate, and post other Canadian artists that you feel deserve to be on this list.
Alexisonfire
Say what you will about them, their debut album is a very good collection of well-written, emotional post-hardcore. It has sold over 50,000 records in Canada, enough to give it Gold certification. Is well worth checking out.
Sunset Rubdown
This art rock band’s songs are centred around the lead singer’s otherworldly metaphors and characters, and can be a little weird at times. But, ultimately their sound is compelling and emotional and both their 2007 album (Random Spirit Lover) and their 2009 album (Dragonslayer) are a fulfilling listen.
The New Pornographers
Formed in 1997, this Canadian supergroup performs a very enjoyable form of power-pop, often compared to Cheap Trick. Their debut Mass Romantic is the most critically acclaimed and probably their best.
Crystal Castles
Their debut album includes a terrifying mix a 8-bit glitches, skull thumping beats, and a multitude a samples, all experimentally amalgamated to create one hell of an album, that’ll either leave you screaming for more, or cursing the ground it came from.
Feist
A folk-pop singer of tremendous talent, Feist caught her big break when her song ‘1234′ from her 2007 album The Reminder was included on an iPod ad. She later went on to perform that song in a Sesame Street version, teaching kid to count, which she said was a carer highlight.
Fucked Up
A hardcore punk band with a slight experimental edge, they received widespread acclaim for their 2008 album The Chemistry of Common Life. Recently they, and a bunch of friends, rerecorded ‘Do They Know Its Christmas?’ for charity.
Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Legends of post-rock, this band are masters of orchestrated rock. The songs move and fluctuate slowly, rising in beautiful and moving crescendos, and building to a powerful climax. Their third album Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven is a must have.
Broken Social Scene
A supergroup if I ever saw one, this band has NINETEEN different members coming and going. This results in very layered, very textural, and very eclectic music. Their 2002 album You Forgot It In People has been described as “the ultimate indie mix-tape”, and made any ‘Best of the Year’ lists, as well as ‘Best of the Decade’ lists.
Arcade Fire
Arcade Fire exploded onto the scene with their astonishing debut Funeral and has never looked back. With its highly infectious and euphoric yet moving brand of baroque pop, Arcade Fire reminded many of indie heavy weights Neutral Milk Hotel (they even signed to the same label that released In the Aeroplane Over the Sea) and filled the gap left by Mangum’s departure from music.

Bonus Band: Boards of Canada
No, they’re not Canadian, but their name has Canada in it. And Music Has The Right To Children is really one-of-a-kind.
Alternative pop duo the Ting Tings have revealed the title of their sophomore album. They are calling it Kunst. The band recorded the album in Berlin in a studio with a message parlour next to it named “Massage Kunst” and it was the inspiration for the album. “Kunst” means “art” in German. We can’t wait to hear it and we hope they win the Best New Artist Grammy.

Durante uma guerra nuclear, um grupo de meninos chega a uma ilha no meio do Oceano Pacífico, depois
// que o avião em que viajavam cai. A princípio parecem gostar da idéia de não haver adultos por perto para lhes dar ordens. O grupo era composto por Ralph, um garoto robusto e louro, seu amigo Piggy, gordo, asmático e quase cego sem seus óculos, os gêmeos Sam, Eric e Simon, e outros garotos de quem não sabiam os nomes. Ralph sai com Piggy para explorar a ilha, sem acreditar ainda que esta fosse completamente desabitada. Ralph acha uma grande concha, e Piggy pede que a assopre. Ao som da concha os outros meninos são atraídos para o lugar.
Os garotos elegem Ralph como seu líder embora fosse óbvio que Jack Merridew quisesse a chefia. Jack organiza um grupo para procurar comida visto já estarem convencidos que teriam de virarem-se sozinhos. A primeira caçada é frustrante quando a caça de um porquinho não resulta em nada. Jack conclama os outros meninos para saírem em um grupo maior de caçadores, mas um pequeno acha que tem monstros na floresta. O medo do monstro, do desconhecido e do escuro ainda está muito presente entre os meninos. Jack acha que devem fazer uma fogueira para sinalizar sua presença se algum navio passar ao largo da ilha. Eles acendem uma fogueira, mas logo se cansam de manter o fogo aceso. Jack fica obsessivo com a idéia de caçar e matar. O grupo de caçadores pinta seus rostos como máscaras, e protegidos por ela fazem sua primeira vítima. No acampamento faz a encenação da caça com um dos caçadores fazendo o papel do porco. Novamente se fala no monstro da ilha, e um dos meninos acha que o monstro poderia ser o próprio grupo. Os caçadores riem dele, e saem para tentar caçar outro porco. Com outra presa caçada Jack espeta a cabeça do porco em uma estaca, como uma oferenda a um deus primitivo. No acampamento Jack promove um festim para comer o porco. Quase todos abandonam Ralph exceto Piggy e os gêmeos para irem ao festim. No horizonte uma tempestade se avizinha. Simon, apesar do medo, embrenha-se na mata e em transe fala com a cabeça de porco, a quem chama Senhor das Moscas.
A tempestade já está sobre a ilha. Simon volta para o acampamento e no caminho se depara com o cadáver de um pára-quedista caído nas pedras. Nauseado livra o corpo das cordas que o embaraçam. Talvez seja este o monstro da ilha. No acampamento os caçadores tratam Jack como um deus, e obedecem a suas ordens. Ralph ainda tem a concha e disputa a chefia com Jack. Sem discutir, Jack convida Ralph para participar da dança, e Piggy e ele se juntam ao grupo. Na noite seguinte Jack e os caçadores atacam Piggy e Ralph. Eles roubam os óculos de Piggy. Uma grande pedra se desloca dos rochedos e atinge Piggy. A concha é destruída e Piggy cai dos penhascos. Ralph foge e os caçadores fecham o cerco. Fogo é ateado no mato para encurralá-lo. O fogo se alastra pela ilha. Ralph consegue chegar a uma praia e encontra um estranho de uniforme. Embora esteja salvo, lamenta a perda de sua inocência e a crença na raça humana.

A obra cult de Golding é associada, propriamente, a vários fantasmas do pós guerra. O mundo nuclear, a guerra fria e acima de tudo, ao fascismo e aos regimes ditatoriais. Tenta, desde o seu título, fazer uma investigação sobre como surge o mal no coração do homens, apontando que ele é natural da raça, provocado pelas circunstâncias e pelo caráter. Se o título faz uma referência ao nome hebraico de Belzebu, sinônimo para o Diabo – e que na obra original é o “monstro” da cabeça de porco que “fala” com uma das crianças anunciando-se como o mal absoluto – ele também pontua o tema central da obra: a influência do poder desmedido, da falta de controle e a selvageria que existe naturalmente no homem, “animal” domesticado pela sociedade, convívio e tecnologia. Se no passado alguns pensadores pregaram que o homem, naturalmente, tende a organizar-se socialmente e a criar suas leis, Golding prega que sem a noção de punição e controle por um poder maior, a tendência é a barbárie. E que forma melhor de fazer isso que usando crianças, teoricamente ainda não afetadas pelos piores sentimentos que o ser humano experimenta ao longo da vida?
